Draw Me the Wind
Transcript - Draw Me the Wind
An expanded book
Draw Me the Wind is a show for early childhood in augmented reality. It is a book that comes to life, an augmented book, which combines the book, the digital tablet and a theatrical form. The theatrical form stages the magical book and extends it into reality. It projects the imagination of the two heroes, Naël and Leïla, on a screen and dramatizes augmented reality in a playful way.
The imagination of Naël and Leïla
The daughter of the wind, Leïla, describes to Naël what she has seen during her travels. Naël takes his pencils and starts to draw. The drawings come to life and take us into the imagination of the two heroes. Several themes are addressed in the show, ecology, the seasons, what it is to grow up, working together and above all what is the imagination.
Children discover that with very little they can have fun. If they remain curious, if they allow themselves to be surprised, they will discover a necessary ingredient for their life, their imagination. The show adapts to all space constraints, media library, classroom, exhibition space, in private homes. It is designed to reach out directly to audiences.
A mobile show
After each performance, there is a time for discussion where we present the book Draw Me the Wind and augmented reality technology.
